History
Benjamin Ortiz, along with his wife Dominga, founded Ben’s Bakery in 1970. With his entrepreneurial spirit, Ortiz successfully expanded the bakery’s reach by distributing biscuits to local restaurants throughout the city, also mentoring many aspiring bakers who went on to open their own bakeries. Over time, one of his daughters, Elva Gomez, took over the reins of the family business, carrying on the legacy of her father’s dedication to quality and tradition.
